Rodrigo owned and operated Lozano Tire Repair in Alvin since 1982 and was a member of the Emmanuel Worship Center in Alvin. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Rodrigo was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Genoveva Lozano; sister, Lydia Alaniz; and brother, Daniel Lozano.

    Jacqueline Marie Mitchell, 53, went to be with our Lord, surrounded by her family, Friday, May 20, 2016 in Webster. She was born September 17, 1962 in La Marque to parents, Frank Adame Sr. and Beatrice (Luna) Adame. Jackie, as she was known to all, was always happy about life no matter what was brought her way. She was happily married to the love of her life, Perry “Joe” Mitchell Sr., and had a beautiful family that she loved and adored. Many of her days were spent outdoors or going to a garage sale, as she loved the summer time. Her most precious memories were spending time with her family and friends and she always treasured them, as they will cherish the times they had with her, as well.

More than 100 people attended a thoroughfare plan public meeting at the Alvin Senior Center, Dec. 2. Klotz Associates, which is working with the city of Alvin, to develop a thoroughfare plan, had officials speak to residents who had many concerns about future roads planned where their properties current are located.
