Police responded to reports of shots fired at Willow Creek Apartments on Mustang Drive at approximately 9:02 p.m., Sept. 6.
Capt. Todd Arendell of the Alvin Police Department said the incident remained under investigation, but it was estimated that five to eight shots were intentionally discharged.
No one was injured and the shooter’s exact intention was uncertain.
“Accounts differ among those involved. It is not immediately clear if the rounds were intended for anyone or just randomly fired to frighten the involved parties,” Arendell said.
There are believed to be four suspects, all of whom remained unidentified and at large.
Arendell said there was no indication that the recent incident was related to another shooting that occurred at Willow Creek Apartments in April 2018, which was reported as an armed robbery.
