An unnamed man was transported to a local hospital after being shot in the face during an altercation May 22 in the 2800 block of South Gordon Street.
Alvin Police Department Public Information Officer Capt. Todd Arendell said three people were involved in the incident and no other people were injured.
“At this point, it appears there was an exchange of gunfire between at least three persons,” Arendell said in an email to The Alvin Sun & Advertiser.
Arendell further explained that the injured man was first taken to a local urgent care by private transport before being transferred to a hospital via ambulance.
“Charges against the participants may be forthcoming pending further investigation,” Arendell said.
