Jewelry stolen from business

The past theft of $1,200 worth of jewelry from a business located in the 1200 block of West State Highway 6 was reported at approximately 12:48 p.m. Sept. 20.

Thousands of dollars worth of equipment stolen

The burglary of a building was reported at a business in the 3200 block of North Gordon Street at approximately 8:18 a.m. Sept. 19. The thief stole over $5,000 worth of equipment, including a trailer valued at $2,000, a Yamaha 5 horsepower boat motor valued at $1,000, three water pumps valued together at $1,500, a 5,000 watt generator valued at $400, a Honda pressure washer valued at $500 and an impact gun valued at $100. A second trailer valued at $5,000 was also stolen but later recovered.

Two vehicles stolen

The unauthorized use of two vehicles was reported in the 300 block of Wheeler Drive at approximately 12:34 a.m. Sept. 19. A blue 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 and a white 2017 Subaru WRX were both stolen and later recovered. Two counts of credit/debit card abuse were related to the vehicle thefts.

Firearm stolen

At approximately 1:55 p.m. Sept. 18, an individual walked into the lobby of the Alvin Police Department to report that their Smith & Wesson M&P 40 pistol, valued at $300, had been stolen.

Red Bull stolen

At approximately 12:45 p.m. Sept. 18, a theft was reported at a business in the 1900 block of West State Highway 6. The thief made off with a can of Red Bull energy drink valued at $4.

Employees leave job, steal from business

At approximately 4:28 a.m. Sept. 18, an employee walked into a business in the 600 block of Gordon Street and discovered that no employees were present. After police responded, it was discovered that two employees had walked off the job and “may have committed a theft,” according to the report.

Wallet stolen

At approximately 12:42 p.m. Sept. 17, the theft of a wallet valued at $300 was reported in the 1400 block of North Gordon Street.

Jewelry and medicine stolen from vehicle

The burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 2300 block of Mustang Road at approximately 10:51 p.m. Sept. 15. Two pairs of dress pants valued together at $90, two dress shirts valued together at $60, a pair of dress shoes valued at $60, a pair of work boots valued at $160, a gold ring with rubies and diamonds valued at $400, gold bracelets valued at $250, a watch valued at $150, Soma muscle relaxers valued at $15, ibuprofen valued at $15 and hydrocortisone valued at $15 were among the items stolen.

Cell phone stolen

The theft of an Iphone X Plus valued at $900 was reported in the 200 block of East South Street at approximately 5:26 p.m. Sept. 15.

Dog abducted

The theft of a dog was reported in the 2400 block of South State Highway 35 at approximately 8:55 p.m. Sept. 14 after a man who had been living with the victim for approximately four months took her dog before leaving the residence. The man had been indicating his intention to visit family in Mississippi.

Car stolen

The unauthorized use of a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Merriweather Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sept. 13. The victim reported that his 2004 beige Nissan Xterra was stolen from his driveway.

Package stolen

The theft of a package containing a textbook valued at $96.35 was reported in the 800 block of Cleveland Street at approximately 5:21 p.m. Sept. 13.

Car stolen

The theft of a red 2009 Honda Ridgeline was reported in the 300 block of Cleveland Street at approximately 12:39 p.m. Sept. 13.

Criminal trespassing at business

Police responded to a male possibly stealing beer from a business in the 400 block of South State Highway 35 on Sept. 13 to find a suspect who had previously been issued a citation for criminal trespass on the property of the business. The suspect was arrested and issued a Class B misdemeanor citation for criminal trespassing.

$50 stolen

The theft of $50 in cash was reported in the 500 block of North Beauregard Street at approximately 8:46 p.m. Sept. 12.
