Lions honor memory of generous donor

The Alvin Noon Lions Club made a special presentation to the wife of Bonnie Howard, a generous donor over the years, who passed away earlier this year. Bonnie never hesitated when Lions Past President Charles Stagg asked him to help provide  funds for eyeglasses for children. "We’ve lost count of the amount of money that he donated over the years, but what we do know is that his support helped literally hundreds of children in Alvin receive the eyeglasses they needed,” said Lions President Carl Gerjes. “Tonight, we are honored to have his wife, Janice, with us so to present her a plaque in honor of Mr. Howard and in recognition of his generous support over the years,” Gerjes added.
