Saying thank you to Alvin's veterans

Alvin High School’s Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps once again honored the nation’s veterans in a ceremony held Monday for Veterans Day. Congressman Pete Olson spoke as a distinguished guest and was presented with a flag flown over Alvin High School earlier in the day as a gift. Olson embarked on a career as a pilot for the United States Navy after receiving his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988, subsequently serving in Operation Desert Storm and other conflicts.
