James “Ken” Kenneth Morden, 74, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Ken was born June 18, 1946, in Beebe, Arkansas, and was a resident of Alvin for 46 years. Ken served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years after graduating from MB Smiley High School in 1964. Upon returning from the Navy he worked for Pitney Bowes as a Sr. Field Systems Specialist in Houston until he retired.
Ken was married for 48 years to the love of his life, Maxine. He loved to golf (known as GrassHopper) whenever possible and was a ham radio operator. After retirement, Ken enjoyed reading, fixing things, and gardening. He also loved helping with and spoiling his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Morden; father, James Odis Morden; sister, Patricia Galvan; brother, Jerry Morden; niece, Melissa Morden; sister-in-law, Patricia Morden; and 3 brothers-in-law.
Ken Morden is survived by his loving wife, Maxine; sons: Jason (Tracie), Jeremy (Julie) and Jesse (Danielle); grandchildren: Kyle, Georgia, Grayson, Hunter, Owen, Sylvie, Alexander and Abigail; brother, Donald Morden; sisters: Janice Rose, Becky Smith, and Michelle Jorden; along with numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Donna’s Legacy Event Center, 785 CR 539 in Alvin, with a Celebration of Life following the memorial service at the same location.
