Harry Warner, age 85 of Alvin, TX passed away on December 22, 2020 at Laurel Court in Alvin, Texas.  Harry was born on June 28, 1935, in Teague, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for over 50 years.  He retired as a pipefitter from local 211 and was Methodist by faith.  Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry L. Warner and Mary O. Warner, and son Frankie Warner.

He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife and children deeply. He was especially fond of his grandchildren and had a pet name for each of them.  

Harry was an Air Force veteran of the Korean war. During his time in the Air force he was stationed in Japan where played on the Air force football team and was a wrestler.   

 Harry had many trades in his lifetime, he spent time working on barges in the intercoastal, he was the drawbridge operator at the town of Matagorda, he once owned and operated a shrimp boat. Harry had a wonderful singing voice and loved to sing and play the trumpet. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing, He had a particular fondness for the town of Matagorda and loved spending time fishing with his grandchildren. His boats and boating skills were the stuff of legend. The thing that rewarded him the most though was the many years he spent as a 4-H leader working with kids and helping at the county fair.

Harry is survived by his wife of over 60 years Elaine Warner, daughter, Sharon Wyatt and husband Robby, sons, Harry Warner and wife Donna, Lance Warner and wife Kathy, Tommy Warner and wife Shannon, brothers, Dwayne Warner and wife Dorothy, Wayne Warner, 12 grandchildren, Wesley, Kathryn, Arianna, Leah, Daniel, Morghan, Gavin, Cassidy, Jacob, Josh, Tessa, Cameron, 6 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.  

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 P.M.  Interment will take place at the Grapetown Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Texas.
