GARZA

John Anthony Garza, age 38 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 in Victoria, Texas.  John was born on December 25, 1981 in Texas City, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin.  He worked as a Catalyst Handler for CHR and loved working hard to provide for his family. He attended the New Hope Church Alvin Campus and Oasis Church in Webster, Texas. John was a loving, dedicated husband and an amazing father and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Rebecca Garza; children, Luci Garza, Johnathon Garza, Mariah Barajas, Heaven Alexis Garza, and Lynette Garza; parents, Florentino V. Garza Jr. and Lucy Garza.; sisters, Tina Garza, Mary Rodriguez and husband Rick, Rachel Chamberlain, Terry Barrientos and Leticia Garza; brothers, Martin Flores and wife Michelle, Florentino V. Garza III and wife Sylvia; along with 18 nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in John’s honor to the Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Visitation was held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Emmanuel Worship Center (2427 FM 528 - Alvin, Texas 77511) with Interment following at Oak Park Cemetery.
