Donald Lee Pearson, age 68, of Manvel, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family. Donald was born June 6, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, and was a lifetime resident of the Alvin/Manvel area.  He worked for many years as a machinist and was Christian by faith and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam conflict. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Florene and Jim Pearson.

Donald is survived by his wife, Tracy Pearson; sons, Edward Davilla and wife Patti and Donald Pearson and wife Colleen; brothers: Jimmy Pearson and wife Tammy, Archie Pearson and Larry Pearson and wife Donna; eight grandchildren, Hunter, Donald III, Pyper, Sadie, Emily, Marrisa, Edward Jr. and Cameron; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Adrian; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019, at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin with funeral services beginning at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served following services Friday at 8913 Crestview Drive, Manvel, TX 77578.  

Graveside services will be held at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

My thoughts are with the family. I didn’t personally know Donald, but he sounds like he was a good person and I wish I could have known him. I hope the promise at Revelation 21:3,4 brings you comfort knowing that God will end death and we will see our loved ones in the future. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
