Wagner

Elisabeth (Liz) Marie of Friendswood, Texas, went peacefully to be with the Lord, with her family by her side, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster on July 19, 2019. For years she struggled with kidney disease, lupus, heart problems and many others. She was glamorous till the very end, sharing her love and great humor. No matter how much pain she was in, she always dressed nicely.

She was born March 24, 1961, at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas, to parents, the late Quinton Gabler and Gabriela (Gale) Vana Gabler.

She attended schools in Harris County, Houston, Texas.

She was married to the late Joaquin (Tim) Rodriguez in Rosenberg and had one son, Aric Anthony Rodriguez.

Elisabeth married the love of her life, Harvey Wagner Jr., on August 20, 1983, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin, Texas. She and Harvey attended Aric’s Boy Scouts events and soccer and baseball games along with other activities. She was a member of the KJZT Family Organization #125 in Houston. She was a country girl at heart, full of love and kindness, always lending a hand while she could. Her passions were being a good wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, baking and gardening (special species of flowers). She was an amazing seamstress, making baby blankets and large quilts. She enjoyed watching CNN News, reading, shopping and traveling with her husband. Her grandchildren were very special to her. She served on the Friendswood Homeowners Association Board.

Elisabeth is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harvey Wagner Jr.; son, Aric Anthony Rodriguez and Tiffany; grandsons, Brayden and Giovanni of Alvin; her mother, Gabriela (Gale) Gabler, of Alvin; brother, Thomas (Tom) Gabler; nephew, Jarrett of Katy; sister, Carolyn and Larry Williamson of Liverpool, Texas; mother-in-law, Angie Wagner of Moulton; brother-in-law, Brian, Dean and Kitty of Colorado; sister, Patty and Ricky Burge of Mississippi; and numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Quinton Gabler; late husband, Joaquin (Tim) Rodriguez; father-in-law, Harvey Wagner Sr.; and grandparents: Frank and Mary Vana and Alfred and Elsa Gabler of Schulenburg.
