Thomas Howard Gray, age 73, of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at his residence. Thomas was born on November 30, 1939 in Moulton, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He was a dispatcher in the oil business, president of Gulf Coast Pigeons Association and was a member of the Lutheran faith. He loved to hunt, fish, dance, cook, play cards, dominos, watch bull riding and raise animals and tell stories. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Louise Gray; and nephew, Charlie Ackley.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Janice Marie Gray; sons: John Allen Gray and wife, Dana Leigh, and Frank Gray; sister, Laura Lou Ackley and husband, Paul; brothers: Raymond Allen Gray and wife, Deloris, and Vernon Charles Gray and wife, Ora Nell; two grandchildren: Daniel Richey and Zack Bianchi; two great-grandchildren: Matthew Bianchi and Wyatt Bianchi; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Disable Veterans of America.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Scott Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Scott Funeral Home.
