Paul Hering, 71, died 2nd November 2022 at his home in Alvin, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marla, and his parents Sibyl and JC Hering.  

Paul is survived by his children, John (Adina) Hering and Jana (Erik) Norton; grandchildren, Brittany (Trey) Pouncy, Wade Hering, and Kaitlyn and Hunter Norton; great-grandchildren, Kyliee, Kenziee, Kelsiee, and Kennedy Pouncey; sister, Donna (Larry) Lawrence; and brother-in-law Sidney Hartsfield.  He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Paul graduated with his bachelor’s degree and completed his education with a master’s degree in 1994. He worked in construction management and even managed several of the tallest buildings in Downtown Houston. Paul’s first love was his family, but his second was riding motorcycles. He was a delight to his friends and family and had a good sense of humor.  He was one of the good guys.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Alvin Senior Center, 309 West Sealy St., Alvin, TX  77511.  Doors will open to the West Side Assembly Room at 4:30 PM and Paul’s cousin John Williamson will lead the service starting shortly after 4:45 PM.

Paul’s family requests that in lieu of donating flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer’s or Dementia research, or to The Gathering Place Interfaith Ministries, PO Box 2050, Angleton, TX 77516.
