Emmitt Lewis Pouncey, 73, of Alvin, Texas, passed away May 23, 2019, in Houston, Texas. He was born June 8, 1945, in Alvin, Texas. He was employed as an engineer and was a member of the Nazarene faith.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Mable Pouncey; brothers: Cecil, Roy Lee, Ronald and Tommy; and sister, Brenda, all of Alvin, Texas.

He is survived by brothers and sisters: Pat Baker and husband Dickie, Wanda Lambright, Carolyn Smith and husband Jay, Donald Pouncey, Sharon Pouncey and John Pouncey.

Emmitt served in the Navy. Five out of seven brothers served in the military from 1958 to the Vietnam era in the early 1970s. Three brothers were in the Navy and two were in the Army.
