Reuben “Butch” Passmore, age 78 of Alvin, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 16 at Creekside Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Pearland, Texas. Butch was born September 14, 1942 in El Campo, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He graduated from Alvin High School in 1960, graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Sam Houston State University and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Melba Passmore; brother, Sam Passmore.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Passmore; daughter, Amanda Pratt and husband David; son, Brett Passmore and wife Amy; grandchildren, Joshua Pratt, Gillian Pratt, Reagan Pratt and Kirsten Passmore; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Presbyterian Church (302 S. Johnson St. Alvin, Texas 77511) or to the Alvin Museum Society (PO Box 1902 Alvin, Texas 77512).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM July 17, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church, 302 S. Johnson St. Alvin, Texas 77511.
