Henry “Bob” Robert Lanier, age 91 of Alvin, Texas passed away Friday, February 29, 2020. Bob was born on March 8, 1928 in Abilene, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin, Texas. Bob retired from Southwestern Bell Company after many years of service and was finally able to focus on his love of art and travel. He entered many events and won many awards for his art. He was loved by many and known as PawPaw by his care takers at Laurel Court. Bob also served in both the Navy and the Airforce. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Fairy of 64 years;  parents, Henry Hupil Lanier and Bertha Lanier; and by sisters, Beti Brown and Millie Root.

Bob is survived by; daughter, Tish and husband Dave Barber; grandchild, Brittney and husband Saul Zepeda; and great grandchild, Lena Zepeda; nieces and nephews, Tommy Brown, Jeraine Root and Gina Layne, Denise and James Bynum, Steve Root and Lori Root, Shari and Andy Bang; numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation was held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Scott Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 11:00 A.M.  Interment followed immediately after services at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
