Hobart W. Dickinson, Sr., age 92 of Alvin, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021, in Pearland, Texas. He was born April 12, 1928, in Ashland, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for over 50 years. He retired from Amoco Chemicals Chocolate Bayou in 1987 after 39 years of service. He served as Supervisor of Plant Operations, Emergency Coordinator, and Plant Fire Chief. Hobart was Christian by faith and a member of Masonic Lodge #336 of Newport News, VA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard G. and Lillie Belle Rivers Dickinson, first wife Peggy M Dickinson, son Hobart W Dickinson, Jr., brother Calvin H. Dickinson, sister Elouise Clemmer, sister Ellen Ruth Carlson Lee, and great-granddaughter Lauren Elizabeth McCreight.

Hobart enjoyed time spent with family and friends involving meals, games, and puzzles, including dominoes at the Alvin Senior Center. He was a master repairman, loved a good cup of coffee and time spent fishing.

Hobart is survived by his wife, Chris Trojanowski Dickinson; daughters Nancy M Dickinson, Deanna J Smith and husband Michael, Rebecca A. Ferguson and husband Mark, and Lee Dickinson of Richmond Virginia; son Thomas M Dickinson and wife Kim; sister Betty Lou Hunter and husband Robert; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
