Dusty Magby, age 57, passed away May 25, 2019, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a sergeant in the Marines for almost a decade and remained a Marine always. In civilian life, he was an electronics and telephone technician at numerous places including the last number of years in his dream job working for LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dusty is survived by stepfather Buzzy Gaidosek; brothers: Rocky Marshall (Linda), Douglas Magby (Bonita) and William Gaidosek (Brenda); and sisters, Grace Ann Ortiz and Charlene Wiseman (Rodger).

He was a beloved uncle to Michael Washburn, Sarah Amy Marshall, Dana Magby, Evelyn Magby, Benjamin Magby, Alexander Magby, Christopher Magby, Ashliee Sims, Tiffany Mathers, Alanna Gaidosek, Derek Gaidosek, Devin Gaidosek, Jeri Charlie Torgeson, Justin Wiseman, Allie Wiseman and Abbey Wiseman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darvin Magby; mother, Bobbie Jean Gaidosek; brother, Michael Smith; and sister, Jeri Lynn Searcy.

Dusty never met a stranger and always was the life of the party. He told hilarious jokes and was game for any adventure. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and his enormous host of friends, all who knew and loved him.

Military ceremony and committal services will be held Friday, July 26, 2019, at 11:15 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas, with full military honors.
