Emily Lou Oliff, age 36, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at her home with her family by her side. Emily was born June 29, 1983, in Webster, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Alvin. She worked as a nurse and was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Emily was extremely active in her church life at Light Christian Center in Alvin. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin and Emma Nesrsta, and Robert and Mary Lou Halpain.

 Emily is survived by her husband, Pastor Timothy Oliff; daughter, Sarah Oliff; son, Matthew Oliff; parents, David and Donna Nesrsta; sister, Lisa VanHouten; and brother, Justin Nesrsta, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

 Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Light Christian Center in Alvin followed by interment in Confederate Cemetery.
