Christina S. Ortiz, 72 of Alvin, Texas was called home on November 15, 2021,

Christina was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Fidel and Juanita Soto, on May 10, 1949.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She loved and lived life to the fullest. She is survived by her loving husband Jose Ortiz, two sons Fausto Mendez, Eric Mendez (Gina), and one daughter Jennifer Santillan (Sergio), and 4 grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Ashley Garcia, and Maritza Santillan, and two great-granddaughters Lilly M. Ramirez, Arianna J. Escamilla, two sisters Carmen Lopez and Rosa Escobedo, two brothers Willie Cortez and Albert Soto (Zulema).

She is preceded in death by her parents Fidel and Juanita Soto, her brothers Bernie and Ramon Soto, her sister Genoveva Rios, and granddaughter Mireya Santillan.

Pallbearers: Michael Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Oscar Ramirez, Richard Sandoval, Sergio Santillan and Albert Lopez.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the Chapel of Froberg Funeral Home at Oak Park. A rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday in the Chapel at Oak Park Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian BurialĀ  will begin at 11:00 A.M. November 24, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 110 E South St, Alvin, TX 77511.

Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
