Charity Charlene Martin, age 77, of Alvin, passed away September 6, 2019. She was born March 5, 1942, in Fulton to parents, James Ezell and Lona Shires (Ezell) Honeycutt. Charity married the love of her life, Charles Martin Sr., on January 6, 1965, in Corpus Christi. Charity and her husband moved to the Alvin area in the 1960’s from Corpus Christi. She was a woman of the Baptist faith. 

Charity was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Martin Sr.; parents, James Ezell and Lona Shires (Ezell) Honeycutt; brother, Neal Honeycutt; and sister, Debbie Edwards. 

She is survived by her children: Lisa Thomas and husband Butch of Alvin, Sharon Kite of Alvin and Charles Martin Jr. and wife Amanda of Danbury; grandchildren: Crystall Reed, Christina Reed, Shane Kite, Nathan Kite, Owen Martin and Sadi Martin; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Oak Park Chapel.  

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 13, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Park Cemetery.
