The Alvin ISD athletic department released their ticket policies for high school games at Alvin Memorial Stadium and Freedom Field for the 2020 football season. All tickets must be must be purchased online, using the Alvin ISD athletic app or by going to the Alvinisd.net site.

Due to capacity restraints and adhering to social distancing, tickets will be available for purchase for the participating member’s (football, band, drill, cheer and trainer) family first, followed by the general public.

“Participants will be given a code for their family to purchase tickets with a four-ticket limit, beginning on Saturday and Sunday prior to the game,” AISD athletic director Michael Bass said. “The tickets will then be open to the general public, starting at 7  a.m. on Monday until the event is sold out."

There will be a 30 percent capacity seating limit at both stadium sites. Bass added that 23-6A with Alvin and Shadow Creek voted to just allow the home bands to attend the contests. The home band will be seated on the visiting side to free up more space for home fans.

This policy will be used during the regular season with the exception of when Alvin plays Shadow Creek at Freedom Field with both bands allowed to attend.

“Starting on the second week (Oct.2), all games will be live streamed by the school district athletic app and website with the KACC 89.7 FM broadcast included with the live stream,” AISD associate athletic director Carla Newsom said.

The same ticket policies apply for AISD volleyball matches, as well, with the participants’ family receiving first availability on the Saturday and Sunday, prior to their matches, followed by the general public, starting at 7 a.m. on Monday. There will also be a 30 percent seating capacity at all volleyball matches.

Walk up purchases will be available if the event is not sold out. Spectators will need to use their phone , scan a QR code and purchase the tickets online.

Face coverings are required for spectators, audiences, fans and media. “Fans and attendees must pre screen themselves prior entering AISD athletic facilities,” Bass said. “No temperatures will be taken. Everybody must wear a mask and practice social distancing.”

Further information can be found on the AISD website.
