Tyler Labbe drove in three runs and Parker Carruth added a pair of RBI’s to lead the way for the Manvel Mavericks to rout Lamar Consolidated 12-2 Friday night in 24-5A Baseball action in Rosenberg.

The victory was the fourth straight for the Mavs (8-9 overall, 7-3), who opened the series with a 7-0 home win on April 2. Eric Benitez, who also had three hits on Friday, fired a one-hitter and delivered a bases-loaded triple to highlight a seven-run fourth inning.

Manvel next plays at Richmond Foster on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Clear Falls 6 Alvin 5 - The Yellowjackets (8-7 overall, 2-4) fell victim to a three-run rally by the Knights in the bottom of the seventh inning in 24-6A action Friday night at Nolan Ryan Field.

Austin Hinson and Eric Vasquez paced the Jackets with two hits apiece. Alvin next plays Clear Springs on Tuesday in League City at 6 p.m.

Shadow Creek 16 Marshall 0 - Sabian Hernandez delivered a no-hitter with eight strikeouts in this five-inning contest on Friday in Missouri City, while Ethan Munoz drove in four runs to lead Shadow Creek offensively and Jeremy Jones and Warren Shankle chipped in three RBI’s apiece. The Sharks (13-6-1 overall, 7-5 in 24-5A) next play Hightower on Tuesday in Missouri City at 7 p.m.
