The Alvin High School Girls' Powerlifting team turned in a fourth place finish at the Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association's Class 6A Championship meet, March 16 in Corpus Christi. Eliana Hernandez won the state crown in the 259 class with a 525 lift on squats, 260 on bench and a 440 deadlift, while Isabela Recendez was second in the 132 class with a 375 lift on squats, 190 on bench and a 315 deadlift.  Other top performances for the Region 4 Division I Champs featured a fourth place from Hannah Casas (123 class), fifth places from Denisse Limon (132 class) and Maya Ruiz (259+class), seventh from Lexi Rodriguez (114 class) and an eighth place from Kaylyn Tucker (97 class).
